Trudo Taking Visits

SyracuseFan.com spoke with Robert Trudo on Wednesday about where he's at with his recruiting and while the Orange may no longer be in the lead for his services, they will be getting an official visits in the next couple of months.

Robert Trudo, a 6-foot-4.5, 280-pound offensive guard from Farrell High School in Farrell, Pa., says that Syracuse being the first school to offer still has them first on his mind in recruiting.

"I've been in contact with Syracuse over the past few weeks and went to their game down here against Akron this past weekend," Trudo said. "They showed improvement in their running game which is a tribute to their offense line which was important to me. I think the passing game can improve, but I thought overall they did a really solid job for the first game of the season. Their defense is really good too."

"Right now I don't have any leaders," Trudo added. "My top four are definitely Syracuse, Boston College, West Virginia and Cincinnati though. Syracuse was my leader at one point, but Boston College really threw a curve in there because they have a great offensive line up there all the time. The only reason I haven't committed there though is because it's 13 hours away, so how many times is my family going to get to see me play there?"

"I don't know what I need to see with Syracuse going forward, but I can say they're still special to me because they were my first offer. I mean, as much as all of these other schools offer me Syracuse was still that first school to stick their necks out and see something in me first, so I remember that."
