Curtis Talks Commitment
"I committed to Syracuse last night around 10pm," Curtis stated. "I talked to Coach Greg Adkins and he was really excited. He told me he had one more spot to fill up on the offensive line and that was me, so he was extremely happy to get that done. They haven't given me a specific position, but I feel as if my strong suit is tackle. I have absolutely no problem playing guard though if they want me to."
"First and foremost, it's a good academic school," Curtis said. "They have a great engineering school and that's what I want to major in. Coach Adkins showed me a lot of love and the rest of the staff were very good people too. When I sat down with my parents they also felt like this was a very good decision for my future as well, so it really became an easy decision for me."
"I actually haven't visited the school yet, but I plan on getting up some time in December and my parents are going to come up there with me on the official visit. I want to get a feel for the campus atmosphere, build a better relationship with the coaches, meet some players and recruits and also see the school."
Curtis has a max bench press of 325 pounds and a max squat of 405 pounds.
He carries a 3.2 core GPA and scored a 1350 on the three-part SAT, although he is waiting for the score of his re-take exam. He also scored a 22 on the ACT.
