Canisius High School in Buffalo, N.Y., has four prospects in Mercer Timmis, Chris Jugovic, Jack Plunkett and Corey Madlock that Syracuse has already shown some preliminary interest in and SyracuseFan.com has junior film of all four of them for our fans to take a look at.
While
Syracuse
hasn’t offered any of their prospects yet, Canisius High School always has Division I prospects and this year is no different. Last year they produced quarterback
Travis Eman
who the Orange got in on for a while and this year they have
Corey Madlock
,
Mercer Timmis
,
Chris Jugovic
and
Jack Plunkett
. Here is a little breakdown on each prospect.
Corey Madlock, DT 6-foot-4, 280 pounds
Madlock already has an offer from Buffalo and is also hearing from Bowling Green early in the process. His coach Brandon Harris has mentioned him in the same breath of former lineman
John Urschel
from his program who eventually ended up signing with Penn State.

Mercer Timmis, ATH 6-foot-2, 205 pounds
As a junior, Timmis carried the ball 143 times for 1520 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is also hearing from Pittsburgh, Boston College and Bowling Green. While he has never played defense in high school, he looks like a future linebacker or strong safety to me.

Jack Plunkett, OG 6-foot-4, 290 pounds
Plunkett is also being recruited by Bowling Green and Buffalo and plays both tackle and guard for Canisius.

Chris Jugovic, QB 6-foot-3, 200 pounds
Jugovic backed up Travis Eman last season that turned down some FBS schools to go play at a FCS powerhouse in Furman. He’s a player who is going to have to make his bones as a senior, but he’s got the talent to make up that ground late from what we’ve seen and have been told.

Syracuse has yet to offer any of these players yet, but they’re definitely names to keep in the back of your minds for the future.
