Marcus Sales' last time on the field in a game that mattered was in the 2010 Pinstripe Bowl, when he helped Syracuse defeat Kansas State.
In that game, he was on the receiving end of three Ryan Nassib touchdown passes -- creating considerable buzz heading into his senior season.
Instead, Sales and his brother were arrested on several charges including running through a red light, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Sales was not the driver.
Coach Doug Marrone suspended Sales from the team indefinitely once the news broke in July, but he won't speak of re-instatement until the school handles its end of the process first.
The charges against Sales were dropped on Wednesday.
