Marrone: 'We Sent Keon Home' Publisher
Posted Dec 3, 2011

In a surprise move, Syracuse cornerback Keon Lyn wasn't on the field on Saturday in Pittsburgh. After the game, the bigger surprise was the reason he wasn't suited up.

Syracuse cornerback Keon Lyn has had a solid sophomore season as a cover-guy and improving contributor, but it took a turn for the worst on Saturday.

After failing to appear on the field or even on the sidelines Saturday against Pittsburgh, coach Doug Marrone was asked why Lyn wasn't in attendance at Heinz Field.

"We put him on a plane to go home this morning for conduct detrimental to the team," Marrone said.

The coach would not offer more as to why, but it should be released at some point unless it is similar in severity to the Phillip Thomas suspension as to which the specifics won't come out.
