Syracuse had three players on the All-Big East Teams announced on Sunday, and had more recognition as some individual honors were given out on Monday.

Waiters edged out teammate C.J. Fair for the Sixth-Man awards and the Orange were represented by Fab Melo on the defensive end. He led the conference in blocks per game (3.1) and affected several other shots night-in, night-out.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year: Fab Melo (Syracuse)

BIG EAST Most Improved Player of the Year: Jack Cooley (Notre Dame)

BIG EAST Sixth-Man of the Year: Dion Waiters (SU)

BIG EAST Sportsmanship Award: Jason Clark (Georgetown)

On Tuesday, the conference will announce Player, Rookie, Coach and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
