Sitting on double-digit offers, Orlando (Fla.) Olympia defensive end Ramar Dennis will have plenty of choices when it comes to picking a college to attend.
The class of 2013 prospect holds verbal scholarship offers from the Big Ten, Big East, MAC and even the Sun Belt conference in a geographic range that scales up and down the East Coast.
With plenty left to evaluate in the process, the 6-foot-2, 230 pound defensive end/outside linebacker admits that a half-dozen programs are standing out.
With the Orange, the hybrid likes the direction the program is going.
"I like the conference they'll be in (ACC) a lot, that's all for right now," he said.
Dennis is unsure of which schools he will visit going forward, but plans on releasing a top five along with Olympia teammates Shawn Curtis and Johnny Armstrong after the team's first game of the 2012 season.
When Syracuse first offered the Floridian during the spring evaluation period, after the SU staff visited Olympia to meet with his coaches, Dennis admitted that the distance from Orlando to Central New York isn't something his mother favors - but the opportunity to play against in-state schools is something his coaches are driving home.
Said Dennis to Scout in May, "My coaches are big on that, they're like ‘it's the ACC, you'd be playing Florida State.'"
Each of the programs standing out to Dennis have all offered him a scholarship.
