The Syracuse Orange hold down home court once again as they win inside the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse has now risen to 38-straight home victories, the longest active streak in NCAA Division I men's basketball.
They are currently 16-0 at home for the current season.
Orange forwards C.J. Fair and James Southerland led all scorers with 20 points apiece.
Sophomore guard Michael Carter-Williams came in averaging eight assists per game. He achieved that mark in the first half alone, finishing with 12.
Providence's only lead of the game came early on, 8-7.
Syracuse's Noel Jones made the first points of his collegiate career the final points of the game, with the Orange winning 84-59.
The Orange improve to 22-4 overall and 10-3 in the Big East Conference. They are tied once again for the top spot in the conference.
Providence falls to 14-12 overall and are now 6-8 in the Big East.
