Cooney Addresses Hoyas and Postseason Publisher
Posted Mar 10, 2013

Coming off of another loss to rival Georgetown and heading into the extended season, Trevor Cooney provides his thoughts on the current state of Orange basketball inside.

Syracuse Orange redshirt-freshman guard Trevor Cooney got a taste of the Syracuse rivalry with the Georgetown Hoyas firsthand when he entered Jim Boeheim Court on February 23rd of this year.

Two weeks later, he experienced playing the longtime adversary of the Orange on the road.

Syracuse struggled to score in both of those games, including woes in the backcourt.

In the most recent match, Cooney failed to put the ball inside the cylinder on another poor shooting episode for the team, as he and fellow guard, senior Brandon Triche, combined to go 1-for-12.

With adversity at their doorstep, Cooney offers his take on the team’s offensive troubles, if losing to the Hoyas holds more weight due to the rivalry, and what the Orange can be moving forward all HERE
