The Orange bid good-bye to the conference that they helped build with three straight wins, but no hardware. More inside.

The Syracuse Orange overcame their offensive deficiencies in the Big East Conference Tournament.

First, came the Seton Hall Pirates.

Then, came the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Next, the Orange rose above the team that had set the biggest wall between them and a victory, the Georgetown Hoyas.

This all led to Syracuse's final moment in the Big East Conference, gaining a place in the tournament finale versus the Louisville Cardinals.

With their jump shooting back being a positive factor for them, the Orange began the match with a three by junior forward C.J. Fair at 18:39. Including Fair, four different Syracuse players connected from long range in the first half.

They grabbed the early lead, and were ahead 35-22 at the break.

But the advantage left the Orange when the Cardinals swooped in during the second half consistently cutting down the Orange advantage leading into senior guard Peyton Siva finding freshman forward Montrezl Harrell at the rim for a dunk at 9:52.

The Orange would never see the lead again, falling into a double-digit deficit in a huge swing for the Cardinals.

Louisville takes the championship over Syracuse, 78-61.
