The stage is set for the first ACC Championship game that involves the newly-formed conference. More inside.

The Syracuse Orange will begin their first season in a conference with a conference championship, and now the stage is set. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) will hold their championship match on Saturday, December 7th, at either 7:45pm ET on ESPN or 8pm ET on ABC.

Known as the 2013 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game, the contest will return to the Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium. The game has been held at this stadium for the past three years and this will be its fourth.

Those competing in the conference title game will be the leaders in the Atlantic and Coastal divisions in which the ACC is split into.

Syracuse will have to reside above the Boston College Eagles, Clemson Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Maryland Terrapins, N.C. State Wolfpack, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons in order to advance against the Coastal leader.

Counting toward Syracuse's overall record, the ACC schedule on ESPN3 has announced they will carry Wagner at Syracuse from the Carrier Dome on September 14th at 4pm ET.
