Adrian Flemming just can't seem to shake the injury bug as he suffers a lower body injury that will force him to miss the rest of the 2013 season.

Syracuse received some bad news as they look to avoid an 0-2 start on Saturday against Northwestern. One of their starting receivers will miss the remainder of the 2013 season.

From Syracuse Athletics:

"Syracuse University receiver Adrian Flemming (Auburn, Va.) sustained a lower body injury which will require surgery. As a result of the surgery and rehabilitation process, Flemming will not return for the 2013 season.

Flemming was in the starting lineup in Syracuse’s season opener against Penn State. He caught two passes for 18 yards, including a career-long reception of 13 yards, against the Nittany Lions."

The injury will mean the Orange will look for more help with a receiving unit that struggled in the season opener. Jeremiah Kobena and Chris Clark are likely to get more reps initially. Alvin Cornelius may also see some snaps going forward.

Syracuse faces Northwestern on the road at 6pm on Saturday.
