Brisly Estime was suppose to return home this weekend to play in front of friends and family when Syracuse battled Florida State. But things changed for the Orange as Estime will not suit up.
CuseNation.com has learned and Syracuse Athletics confirmed with their weekly injury report that Estime suffered an upper body injury that will keep him out of Saturday's game and possibly longer.
The move means Ashton Broyld will likely move back to the slot with other receivers getting options on the outside. Chris Clark, Jeremiah Kobena and Alvin Cornelius could see more time as a result.
Estime had led Syracuse in receiving over the last two games, and his loss hurts and Orange offense that needs playmakers against arguably the best team in the country this weekend. It is unclear how long Estime will be out with this injury.
