Syracuse redshirt freshman defensive lineman Josh Manley had not made an impact on the field during his short career with the Orange, and he won't have that chance in the future.
On Tuesday, Manley tweeted that he was transferring from Syracuse to Charlotte.
"Been through a lot these past 2 years," Manley tweeted. "Happy to find a new home good luck Syracuse can't wait to be a #49er at Charlotte."
CuseNation.com reached out to Manley for comment. He had the following to say.
"I'm not looking to do any interviews right now," Manley said. "I'm looking forward to getting a chance to get on the field and earn my degree.
"I am happy to be closer to home and I don't want to talk about the transferring. It's a new chapter and I just can't wait to start it next semester. I'm going to work hard like always."
Manley is originally from Georgia, and the transfer moves him closer to home. He was a two star prospect as part of the class of 2012, and chose Syracuse over Boston College, Louisville, Missouri and others.
