One of the biggest questions about Syracuse football's offseason was answered on Monday. Starting left tackle Sean Hickey has decided to return to the Orange for the 2014 season rather than head to the NFL, he announced on twitter.
But I have decided that to return to Syracuse for my senior year is the best choice for my career. #cusenation— Sean Hickey (@HickeyCuse60) January 6, 2014
The news is huge for Syracuse, as Hickey will be among the nation's best offensive tackles next season. He gives the Orange even more stability on an offensive unit returning their starting quarterback, three of their top four running backs, and most of their receiving corps.
Hickey will be a senior for the 2014 season, playing on his final year of eligibility. He has the potential to be a high draft pick with a strong season.
