Coleman to miss the rest of the season Publisher

DaJuan Coleman will miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season as his knee injury will require surgery.

Syracuse basketball received some bad news on Monday. The team announced that sophomore center DaJuan Coleman will require surgery on his injured knee, and miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season.

"“This is a tremendous disappointment, especially considering the amount of hard work DaJuan has been putting in with our basketball team,” head coach Jim Boeheim said in a release. “We will certainly miss his contributions.”

The good news for the Orange is that they have depth in the front court. Jerami Grant will remain the starter at power forward in Coleman's absence, with Rakeem Christmas starting at center.

Off the bench, Baye Keita will be the primary reserve at center. Mike Gbinije has the ability to play forward if needed, and freshman Tyler Roberson is also available.

Syracuse next plays at Miami on Saturday, January 25th.
