Syracuse lands 3-star linebacker Publisher
Posted Feb 2, 2014

Jonathan Thomas committed to Syracuse during his official visit over the weekend. He gives the Orange a fourth linebacker in the 2014 class.

Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill linebacker Jonathan Thomas has been a coveted prospect late in the recruiting cycle. Oklahoma made a push at one time with Georgia and Miami expressing interest.

Over the weekend, he took an official visit to Syracuse and decided that was the home for him as he gave his verbal commitment. The three-star outside linebacker was a priority for the Orange, who wanted one more linebacker in this class.

Thomas chose Syracuse over offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Marshall and Oklahoma. He will play strong side outside linebacker for Syracuse when he arrives on campus in the summer.
