Cordy commits to 'Cuse Publisher

Syracuse received a verbal commitment from Antwan Cordy out of South Dade Senior High School in Homestead (Fla.) over the weekend while he was on his official visit.

Syracuse may already have several defensive back commitments in the 2014 class, but that doesn’t mean they were done bolstering the depth in their secondary. Antwan Cordy out of Homestead (Fla.) committed to the Orange during his official visit.

Cordy was offered early in the process by Syracuse and interest ramped up in recent weeks. The Orange got the 5-foot-9 cornerback on campus and showed him all he needed to see in order to pull the trigger.

He was on the visit with good friend and fellow cornerback Trumaine Washington who Syracuse is also after. The South Dade Senior High standout chose Syracuse over offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Marshall, Minnesota and others.
