Syracuse lands 3-star OT Conway

Syracuse had a busy day on Friday, landing three offensive linemen commitments. Cody Conway was the latest to pledge Orange.

A third offensive linemen pledged Orange on Friday, and the best may have saved for last. At least from a ratings standpoint. Three-star Plainfield (Ill.) North offensive tackle Cody Conway committed to Syracuse.

"It was mainly a gut feeling from the start," Conway told CuseNation.com. "That it was where I belong and I didn't want to miss out on a great opportunity."

While offensive coordinator George McDonald was working on Sam Clausman and Colin Byrne in Florida, quarterbacks coach Tim Lester was able to receive a verbal from Conway.

Midwest recruiting analyst Allen Trieu said about the three-star talent, "Conway is an under the radar pickup but he's 6'6 and athletic. Was impressed with him at a recent camp."

Conway chose Syracuse over offers from Illinois, Rutgers, Nevada, Western Michigan and several others. He is the seventh commitment in Syracuse's 2015 class.

CuseNation.com will have much more on this developing story.
