Syracuse has suffered its first two significant injuries of training camp. Wide receivers Adly Enoicy and Keenan Hale both have lower body injuries which require surgery according to a release from Syracuse Athletics.
Enoicy is a freshman who has spent time with both the receivers and tight ends during training camp. He has earned the praise of head coach Scott Shafer on multiple occasions.
Hale is a senior who missed the 2013 season also with a lower body injury. Injuries have plagued his career which have been part of the reason he has yet to appear in a game with the Orange.
Neither has been ruled out for the season, and their status will be determined prior to the start of the regular season. A silver lining in that neither has been ruled out for the season as of yet.
The other good news for Syracuse is that the wide receiver position can absorb such a blow. It may be the deepest position on the roster. The combination of talented youth with experienced veterans make it one to watch this season.
Syracuse welcomes Villanova to the Carrier Dome on August 29th to kick-off the 2014 campaign.
