Lobdell keeping his options open
But LaVar - who favors Virginia Tech, West Virginia and USC - is still keeping his options open.
"I'm interested, but, I don't know," Lobdell said. "I have to check them out, just like the rest of the schools. I'm not going to lean towards Syracuse just because they're right next to home."
Of course, Lobdell has plenty of options. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound WR was recently offered by Southern California. Other schools that have offered are West Virginia, Wisconsin, Maryland and Buffalo.
"I'm still keeping the doors wide open," Lobdell said.
He's trying to focus on this year, and won't take any official visits until the end of the season.
Lobdell is considered the top WR prospect in Central New York. In 2003, he caught 29 passes for 556 yards and 15 touchdowns.
