The #7/#7 Syracuse Orange (17-1, 4-0) looks to keep its perfect Big East record Tuesday night against the unranked Georgetown Hoyas (11-4, 3-1).

The Orange have won its first four games in Big East play, and 10 in a row overall. However, the Georgetown Hoyas have been one of the Big East's biggest surprises so far this season.

Led by former Princeton coach John Thompson III, son of former Georgetown coach John Thompson, the Hoyas have already beaten Big East foes Pittsburgh and Villanova, as well as battling #1 ranked Illinois and Connecticut closely.

The Hoyas are led by junior forward Brandon Bowman, averaging 15.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Junior Ashanti Cook and freshman Jeff Green also average in double figures.

Syracuse has beaten Georgetown six of the last seven times in the Carrier Dome. The Orange lead the all-time series, 39-34, including a 23-22 edge in Big East regular-season meetings. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
