Cajuste on Monday night, who is a player that admittedly doesn’t know much about the recruiting process or the schools that are offering their services to him. He did speak to us about what he knows about the Orange from people supporting him, which has all been good so far.
Holy Cross High School wide receiver
Devon Cajuste
has great size at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds and is very clear when he says that one of his biggest priorities when searching for a school will be to find a place that allows him the opportunity to compete for a starting spot from the start of his career. As for the Orange, here’s what Cajuste knows so far.
“I got my offer from
Syracuse
back in like November or December and an assistant coach was in with Head Coach Doug Marrone, so I happened to see them and they just said hello to me,” Cajuste stated. “Obviously I wasn’t allowed to talk to them because of the rules, but hopefully I get the chance to meet with them some more to get to know them.”
“I know two people that went to Syracuse and they told me that it was a great academic school, especially the law school,” Cajuste mentioned. “They also said that the football program was on its way back up right now and that the coaching staff was working hard to get it where it needs to be.”
“As far as first hand knowledge, I know they play in the Carrier Dome and like I said, I’ve heard they offer a very good education, but I’m just going to have to go up myself and see what Syracuse offers. Right now all I know is what I’ve heard from friends or what I’ve gathered online.”
As a junior, Cajuste caught 40 passes for 921 yards and seven touchdowns. He also competes in track and field where he runs the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes and participates in the high jump and javelin. His personal best in the high jump in 6-foot-2.
