"I got my offer from Syracuse a few weeks back and they want me to come in and play defensive end for them," Adeyanju said. "The first coach I talked to was Coach (Tyrone) Wheatley who is recruiting me and he just said they really liked my film and liked me personally and then wanted me to talk to some other coaches. I got the chance to talk to Head Coach (Doug) Marrone and he said that they had lost a lot of great seniors at the position, so they had a real need for guys to come in an play early at end, so that's why they were offering me."
"I talked a few other coaches as well and I was just grateful to get the offer and get to know them," Adeyanju explained. "I remember that Coach Wheatley was a great player, so it was like talking to a celebrity on the phone for me. They came off as a blue collar staff. They weren't fancy or anything and really just came across as "this is who we are".
"I know they play in the Big East Conference and have had great players like Ernie Davis and Jim Brown, but past that I need to go out and see the school which I'd like to do," Adeyanju stated. "Right now I have 21 offers and I've been taking a lot of visits, so I'm just going through and making the best of my time."
James Adeyanju is the younger brother of former Indiana star and current St. Louis Rams defensive end Victor Adeyanju.
