Baltimore, Md., product Tevin Brown is fresh off two straight Maryland Class A State Championships and is gearing up for another with a talent-laden senior class coming through the halls of Dunbar High School. This year will be very important for him in terms of recruiting and he certainly has the frame and talent to garner plenty of interest.
Tevin Brown
is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound outside linebacker that also plays tight end and wide receiver for Dunbar High School. With a 4.7 40-yard dash one would think that outside linebacker or tight end would be the way to go for him, however he could bulk up and end up at defensive end as well. With plenty of options schools are still trying to figure out what he is and Brown is fine with waiting and proving himself on the football field.
“Coach Randy Trivers from
Syracuse
has been to my school twice now and says that he really likes my size and skill set,” Brown explained. “He took my film because he wanted to show it to the rest of the defensive staff up there. I don’t know a whole lot about Syracuse, so I want to camp there this summer, show the coaching staff what I can do and learn more about them.”
“I also like
Maryland
,
Virginia
and
Rutgers
a lot,” Brown added. “I visited Rutgers and really liked the atmosphere there. They also have very good academics and offer their student-athletes a lot of support in terms of tutoring. Maryland is just the hometown school and my family could come watch me play there, so I am always going to like them as well.”
Brown registered 105 tackles, eight sacks, six forced fumbles and intercepted seven passes as a junior.
He holds a 2.5 core GPA.
