Syracuse lands three star running back

Syracuse landed a three-star running back on Saturday when Dontae Strickland gave a verbal commitment during an unofficial visit.

Monmouth Junction (N.J.) South Brunswick High running back Dontae Strickland visited Syracuse on Saturday for the second time in recent weeks. He told CuseNation.com that it felt like home while he was traveling back from the first trip.

The second time around, he took that feeling and turned it into a verbal commitment.

The three-star running back is ranked as the 60th best at his position in the 2015 class. He chose Syracuse over offers from Georgia Tech, Indiana, Rutgers, Temple. Virginia, Wake Forest, West Virginia and others.

Strickland is Syracuse's third running back prospect this cycle and ninth player overall.
